The then wedding of the biblical Galilee was practically desmostrated here in Nigeria as the wedding bell in favour of Adeife and Adefisayomi ranged with its incredible ovation on Saturday, the 12th of September, 2026 at G-BOS Hotel and Event Centre, Secretariat Road, Ado Ekiti amidst pomp and celebrations.
The duo families of Commodore Adesola Ojo & Mrs Oluranti Ojo of Apolese Ruling House, and Engr. Stephen Oluwole & Mrs Taiwo Oluwole of Ondo town, Ondo State – Nigeria unanimously consented to uniting Adeife and Adefisayomi in holy matrimony.
It is undoubtedly a settled matter that the bride’s father, Prine Commodore Adesola Ojo is among the lucky few divinely favoured to live and witnessed the epoch event. It is Lord’s doing in a country where life expectancy is at the lowest ebb hovering around 45 to 47 years!
The unique occasion was chaired by the Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo who was represented by the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara alongside other top-class personalities who joined both the groom’s and bride’s families including members of 44 Regular Combatant Course, Heads of security agencies and many more.
Commodore Adesola, has a lot to thank God for sparring his life and the wife to witness the elaborate ceremony in a robust health, peace of mind, soul and body even as his children now surround him at the table in his age.
The grace of God has also bestowed upon the bride’s parent the rare privilege of living to see their children doing wonderfully well in their chosen careers in his life time as they are all living up to the billing of a humble thoroughbred homegrown sons and daughter of the ‘Omoluabi’.
This gesture is nothing but the hallmark of humility which the entire Ojo dynasty of Okemesi has always symbolized and exhibited home and abroad.
Our crew was in attendance to celebrate the new couple, Adeife Oluwafifunmi Ojo and his wife, Adefisayomi Adedolapo in fulfillment of our core mandate to honour all deserving personalities who had lived exemplary life worthy of emulation such as this Commodore Adesola Ojo.
Truly, it was a monumental display of glamour blended with different fabrics most especially the cherished aso òkè and matched with Lilac Plum Burgundy when a Prince of Aponlese Royal family of Okemesi-Ekiti in Ekiti West Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Commodore Adesola Ojo handedover his adorable daughter in marriage amidst pomp and celebration.
The ceremony kicked off at exactly 10:35am with arrival of guests followed with traditional wedding and engagement witnessed who-is-who in the society as the bride’s father with his elegantly looking wife leading the convoy joined by the entourage headed straight amid heavy traffic to the venue, G-Boss Hotel and Event Centre Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti.
The heavy traffic caused by well wishers no doubt portrayed Commodore Adesola Ojo as man loved by the people. On entering to the venue, cameramen including journalists bombarded the the celebrant and his family. As a reporter’s delight, Prince Adesola did not disappoint them and even when his arrival was announced by the anchor, MC Atobaba, the hall was already jammed packed with dignitaries from within and outside the country.
Prince Adesola Ojo was very impressed by the turn out of great personalities who showed solidarity and as he prayed they too would be celebrated.
Probably because the bride’s father was from Aponlese Ruling House in Okemesi, the traditional drummers did not spare any effort to give their own befitting outing with various types of drums and talking drums, it was a sight to behold and good sound to hear.
Some of the dignitaries that added exceeding glamour to the ceremony at the epoch event include; the Governor of Kogi State; His Experiency Ahmed Usman Ododo, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, also the immediate past Governor of the state; Governor Yahyah Bello was ably represented by the Chief Security Officer of Kogi State. Others includes Serving and Retired Generals from within and outside the country, friends, family and well-wishers.
Commodore Adesola Ojo and his elegantly shinning spouse were quite excited as they moved from one table to another greeting guests and acknowledging cheers from well wishers.
It was indeed a great, memorable and a day of glory for this amiable Okemesi Prince. There were lots to eat and drink.
Our crew was in attendance at the event heavily laced with unprecedented and intimidating crowd to celebrate with both families on this day, as Commodore Adesola Ojo in fulfillment of our core mandate to honour all Ekiti sons and daughters deserving the honour, those who had lived exemplary life worthy of emulation such as this great families.
