Sunday June 18 was indeed, a day to remember in Ado-Ekiti as the former president of All Nigeria Confederation Of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Mrs Eunice Folake Alade marked her 70th Birthday with pomp and celebrations.
The occasion also coincided with this year’s Father’s Day celebration as Men across the world were celebrated in various Churches, thereby making it a twins event as it turned out to be on yearly basis.
Held at the spacious auditorium of First Baptist Church (Miracle Cathedral), Okeyinmi in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. Dignitaries and guests from all walks of life, gorgeously dressed in their best various beautiful attairs with cap, gel and ipele added glamour and colours to the epoch make event.
The church hall, sparked in a different and very inviting decoration colours.
Diverse musical instruments were on display; drum set, keyboard, base and lead guitar, talking drum and other ensembles and joyous choristers dishing out sonorous music to enliven the guests.
Rejoicing with the celebrant, the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Ado-Ekiti, Rev. Dr. Kayode Ayinde in his charge advise Mrs Folake Alade to continue her hope in her Make who has graciously kept her till date in sound health.
Rev. Ayinde who was represented by his wife, Rev. (Mrs) Hellen Ayinde described the celebrant as lover of peace, people and development of others.
According to Rev. Ayinde, “She love servants of God and always want to see God’s work progressing daily. As a church, we valued and cherished you so much and God Almighty will continue to keep you for us in sound health. Be rejoice and allow the joy and peace of mind be your watchwords”. She stated.
Giving her appreciation while speaking with TopNewsng during the event, Mrs Folake Alade thanked the Almighty God for preserving her life and for the sound health she’s enjoying.
Her words: “I’ll forever be grateful to God over His care, love and for being merciful towards me. There was a time that I thought the world is going an end, but mercy of God kept me till this moment. I’m 70th today and so grateful to God and all my well-wishers who have celebrated me both home and abroad. I thank God for showing me mercy”.
The retired teacher, Mrs Alade who could not hold her joy charged the congregation and other well-wishers to surrender all to God for His guidance and projection on daily basis.
Guests were entertained to stupour at a superlative reception held at the celebrant resident, Ilamoye Quarters in Ado-Ekiti.
Some of the dignitaries include a picture from Ekiti State University; Professor (Mrs) Olajire Adegun, One time ANCOPS President & former Chairman Teaching Service Commission; Prince Bayo & Chief Mrs Moni Adeniran, Chief (Mrs) Abike Balogun, Olori Toun Oyedele, Renowned Liberian cum Political Analyst; Elder Ayo Arogundade Chief Mrs Bolanle Deji-Fasuan and Former Tutor-General; Mr Abiodun Omotoso.
Others are former Permanent Secretary, Chief (Mrs) Omolade Oludare, Dr & Mrs Francis Ibikunle, Mrs Adenike Oni, Mr Tanwa Oyebode and Mrs Olonisakin among others.
