A first class traditional ruler in Ekiti State, the Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the Ekiti State, His Royal Majesty Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaye, has commended the sterling performance of president Bola Ahamed Tinubu especially on the establishment of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Science (FUTES), Iyin-Ekiti.
The monarch who gave the commendation while playing host to the Executive of the Rock Arena Community, new Ado/Iyin road, Iyin-Ekiti applauded president Tinubu over the new university and Governor Oyebanji for the respect he has for traditional institution and the love for community development, which he said vividly manifested in all the nooks and crannies of Ekiti.
Oba Ajakaye hinted that Governor Oyebanji’s administration also place great premium on the role of traditional rulers in sustaining peace and fostering development across towns and villages of Ekiti.
He advised residents, especially the house owners to follow the master plan and layout rules of Iyin-Ekiti Ekiti community.
“I urged all residents of our emerging communities and villages, irrespective of their political affiliation, religion, or social status to please promote peace, encourage communal harmony, and abide by the master plan of Iyin-Ekiti and also support government initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of our people”.
The highly elated monarch while promising to continue uniting all the emerging communities under his kingdom and be fair to all his subjects so as ensure peace and tranquility in Iyin-Ekiti, also assured that the community shall vote massively for the All Progressives Congress candidates in the coming governorship and presidential elections.
Oba Ajakaye who praised the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his commitment towards the grassroots development, and also the resilient of ever-ready Leader of the Senate, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, hinted that this great commitment has again reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering people of the state, and thereby promoting inclusivity, and strengthening grassroots participation in the state.
The Oyinyosaye Uyin III, reinstated his commitment to all communities under him and that his cardinal focus is to transform the entire Iyin-Ekiti to a model and epicentre of development in the state, by working with other critical stakeholders, with an assurance that no community will be left untouched.
Appealing for more unity in the community, the monarch averred that the strength of any town lies in its togetherness, encouraging all residents, to rally round leaders whose God has place in the positions of authority so as to bring more development to the state.
Oba Ajakaye urged all sons and daughters of Iyin-Ekiti home and abroad to continue their support to government at all levels so as to bring unprecedented development to grassroots.
