Man Offers ‘Free Ride’ to Ekiti Residents, to Celebrate Oyebanji’s Achievements, June 12 (See Video)

Despite the current economic challenges facing Nigerian citizens, a selfless humanitarian contribution of one Mr Oluwayomi Kolade, popularly known as Oluwayomi BAO, has resolved to offer free rides to residents of Ekiti state, saying that, it’s a way to celebrate Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration’s impact on the state’s progress and also to mark this year June 12 as a democracy day.

In a chat with TopNews in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, Oluwayomi said, “Democracy has been good under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji. Since his assumption of office, we haven’t had problems in the state, neither for the old nor the young.”

He attributed his motivation to the government’s investment in roads and establishment of peace in the state. “I want to identify with the government’s success. He is using the pen of history to rewrite governance.”

According to him, he noted that no one is sponsoring him, and it’s a self-sponsored initiative to support students, civil servants, and other residents carrying out their daily activities.

The free service, which has been ongoing for about a year, extends beyond Ado-Ekiti. “I have been moving around Ekiti, carrying people to various destinations, including Erijiyan, Ikogosi High School, Erijiyan Farm, and Ilawe, and still carrying people around Ado-Ekiti.” he added.

He also noted that the upcoming Democracy Day celebration is special for him, as he celebrates Governor Biodun as the Nigeria’s best Governor of the year.

Some of the beneficiaries of ‘Oluwayomi BAO Free Ride’, who spoke with newsmen appreciated the efforts, describing it as an unusual gesture and thoughtful humane service.

They confirmed that ruly, this kindhearted services can best be described as an uncommon gesture, considering the levels of the economy in Nigeria today.
