The Imesi Ekiti born Omotoso, who was the party State Chairman, died tragically on Tuesday, after a brief illness.

Branding the sudden demise as shocking, disheartening and heart-rending, Fagboyo, in a statement on Thursday, asserted that the party will never forget Omotoso’s contributions, particularly the way he was able to fortify it to be able to overcome the onslaught of the opposition parties.

Fagboyo described Omotoso’s humility, industry, wisdom and political wizardry as a strength and selling points, saying that helped in making APC a darling of many and as well widened its acceptability among the electorate.

She added that the party will not forget Omotoso’s steadfastness and dedication to APC during the 2007 post election crisis, where he stayed firm and helped in fighting the battles for the reclamation of Ekiti State from the then ruling party’s dominance.

The Pharmacist cum politician added that Omotoso was a political legend considering his sterling contributions to the growth of APC in Ekiti and Nigeria, saying this accounted for the deceased’s meteoric rise to stardom in the game.

Condoling Governor Oyebanji and family members over this painful exit, Fagboyo said: “The news of the death of our dear and humble APC Chairman, Barrister Omotoso came to her as a rude shock. It was indeed a devastating news

“Barrister Omotoso was an excellent Leader, liberal and kindhearted. He was a lover of peace, always ready to help and indeed a man with a heart of gold.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the APC family and the government of Ekiti state. We all loved him, but God loved him the more and he has overwhelming control over the affairs of men.

“May God grant his gentle soul eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
