Ekiti Referees Council Crisis: PFAN Steps In, Set For Investigation

The Professional Footballer Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Ekiti State Chapter has wage in to investigate the lingering crisis rocking the football arena in the stae and also to find out what led to the suspension of the Chairman of the Ekiti State Referees Football Council, Mr Shina Oguntase.

It will be recalled that Oguntuase was served a letter of suspension for 18 months from the association which he has denied, describing it an impunity charges leveled against him by some members of the executive of the council.

While condemning the suspension, he said there was no investigation nor fear hearing before they sent letter of suspension to the social media, Oguntuase also vowed to seek redress against the allegations in order to clear his name from the mess.

Reacting to the development, the PFAN in a statement made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti by their Secretary, comrade Dada Oluwadare after their Executive meeting on Tuesday, said that the PFAN Chairman, comrade Ogunwole Oluwole have set up a five man committee to investigate the matter that led to crisis rocking the Football Referees Association in the state in the last one week.

According to the statement, the five man panel include; Comrade Ogunwole Oluwole as the Chairman, Comrade Dada Oluwadare to serve as Secretary, Comrade Oladele Lawanson as member, Comrade Ojo Olayinka member and Comrade Apempe Ayobami also as member.

The five man committee has been saddled with the responsibility to meet with embattled Chairman on Wednesday and other factions involved for a free hearing and to update all the necessary stakeholders in the state.
